Assistive Technology
AT & UDL Loan Library - Available to district/school staff approved by ESE Directors, and to all BEESS staff and Project staff, the loan library supports assistive technology assessments/evaluations, professional development in the use of assistive technology in the classroom, and the use of universal design for learning strategies to support all students in the core curriculum.
Assistive Technology Image Gallery - This image gallery does real time Google Image searches on various assistive technology categories. It provides a quick and easy way to see different types of technologies that may be usable by students with disabilities.
Assistive Technology Competencies - A set of competencies for AT professionals and IEP Team members, developed by Florida AT Practioners and other stakeholders.
Assistive Technology Myths & Truths -This site will guide you in exploring myths and truths around assistive technology.
Assistive Technology & the IEP - This site includes information and resources to assist educators, therapists, parents, and students in understanding how assistive technology can make a difference in a child's life.
AT in the Classroom Kits - This site includes resources for AT in the Classroom professional development activities.
Instructional Technology
Fact Sheet: Technology Integration in All Tiers of Instruction - Information on the integration of data systems, instruction/intervention, and engagement.
3D Printing in Education - Online resource for exploring 3D Printing in Education.
Classroom Screen - A selection of online tools that are free to use, including name selection, timers, drawing tools, and writing tools.
Padlet - Easy way for a group to contribute information to a single online board; great for sharing in a meeting.
Wheel Decide - Customize this spinning wheel and use it to make decisions, such as selecting a group to share out in a meeting.
Poll Everywhere - Have a class or group respond live to a poll, with the results appearing in a PowerPoint presentation. Free for up to 40 responses per poll, K-12.
Plickers - Free student response system that is card/paper based. The only person who needs a device is the teacher.
Kahoot - Game based learning platform. Great for students and adults.
